July 11, 2025 – Chicago — The Sai Kripalu Foundation is proud to announce its 2025 grant recipients, reaffirming its mission to support nonprofit organizations that uplift communities through education, spiritual growth, health services, and social equity. This year, grants were awarded to 24 organizations across the United States and India, each selected for their meaningful work and long-standing impact.
The following organizations received funding:
Community & Social Upliftment
- Cara Program (Cara Collective) – Based in Chicago, this organization helps people affected by poverty and homelessness get and keep quality jobs through comprehensive training and job placement.
- High Jump – A Chicago-based nonprofit that provides academic enrichment and support for middle school students from under-resourced communities, helping them access top-tier high schools and colleges.
- Nourishing Hope (formerly Lakeview Pantry) – Offers food, mental health counseling, and social services to thousands of low-income individuals and families.
- The Night Ministry – Delivers housing, health care, and human connection to Chicagoans struggling with homelessness or poverty.
- Silver Seniors Group – An organization supporting elderly citizens through companionship programs, wellness workshops, and culturally aligned senior care.
- Vidya Jyoti – Focused on education in underprivileged areas, it provides scholarships, academic resources, and leadership training for youth.
Educational & Youth Development
- Morgan Park Academy – A private, independent school in Chicago fostering intellectual growth and global citizenship from preschool through high school.
Spiritual & Cultural Development
- Shirdi Sai Baba Sanstha – Promotes the teachings of Sai Baba through community service, spiritual workshops, and religious events.
- Shiv Shakti Peeth – A spiritual and cultural center devoted to the worship of Lord Shiva and Shakti, offering meditation, temple services, and community events.
- Udaseen Ashram – A spiritual retreat and religious institution dedicated to the teachings of ancient Indian sages, known for its role in meditation and holistic healing.
- Jagadguru Kripaluji Yog – A global spiritual organization teaching the philosophies of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. Their work includes yoga, spiritual education, and social outreach.
- Shiv Durga Temple – A Hindu temple supporting spiritual practice and community events with an emphasis on traditional Vedic rituals and festivals.
- Radha Krishna Temple of North Carolina – Promotes devotion to Radha Krishna through cultural events, youth education programs, and charitable outreach.
- Om Yog Sansathan – A center for yogic practices, spiritual education, and Ayurvedic wellness, aiming to integrate ancient wisdom into modern life.
Each of these organizations has demonstrated unwavering dedication to serving humanity, whether through feeding the hungry, educating the youth, caring for elders, or nurturing spiritual well-being.
